What is DataBasicCymru?

DataBasicCymru is a free, online training programme. It is based on the Data Culture Project originally developed by researchers at MIT, to help organisations get more confident with data. It comprises a set of self-serve exercises, tools and workshops all designed to build the fundamental skills needed to understand and use data more effectively.

DataBasicCymru+ is a bespoke training package, providing a facilitated route through the programme.

Data Cymru and Data Orchard, are excited to introduce this bilingual package of support to people working in public services in Wales.

By the end of the webinar participants will:

  • Know more about the DataBasicCymru training programme and how it can benefit their organisation;

  • Have had an introduction to the DataBasicCymru materials and a chance to try out a workshop; and

  • Understand how our skilled, experienced facilitators can help your organisation get the most out of the training programme.

There will also be an opportunity to network with other people interested in improving data skills in the public sector in Wales.

Please note, the webinar will be English only, but you will have an opportunity to ask questions/raise comments in Welsh via the chat function.
