As a not-for-profit social enterprise, our board plays an important role in ensuring we maximise our impact. We’re currently looking for new board members who can work with us to strengthen Data Orchard’s governance to help us deliver our mission.

We’re looking for people from diverse backgrounds with a broad range of skills and experience. Applications will be particularly welcomed from those with expertise in: legal matters (in particular relating to data protection, licencing and intellectual property); online product and service delivery; or HR, coaching, and line management.

Data Orchard is a social enterprise with a small team of employees, associates, and board members. We enable organisations working for social and environmental benefit to get better with data. Our clients are primarily charities, housing providers, public sector bodies, and other not-for-profit organisations. We work directly across the UK on around 30-40 projects a year. We reach and engage thousands more around the world, through our events, tools and resources, and online communities. Find out more about us and our work.

Our board is a vital part of our success: exercising oversight over the company's legal obligations; managing risks, keeping focused on our mission, upholding our values, supporting the Co CEOs, and ensuring we are well positioned and regarded in the field of data.

Board member posts require a commitment of 2-3 days per year. The role is unpaid on a voluntary basis with expenses reimbursed.
